🔔 What to Do If a Fire is Detected

  1. Alert others immediately – If you see fire or smoke, notify nearby employees and activate the nearest fire alarm if available.
  2. Call 911 – Provide the store address, describe the situation, and confirm that evacuation is in progress.
  3. Inform the Store Manager or Supervisor – If safe to do so, notify management right away.

👥 Evacuation Roles

Role Responsibility
Cashiers Secure register if safe (lock drawer, remove large bills), and assist customers to the exit.
Team Members Guide customers, check aisles for remaining shoppers or staff.
Manager on Duty Ensure full building evacuation, grab emergency binder (if accessible), perform headcount outside.
Designated First Aider Assist any injured person only if it is safe to do so.
