1.0 PURPOSE

This Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) provides the policies, procedures, and guidelines for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout Whitten-Hardware. It ensures a safe environment for customers and staff by detailing required cleaning and disinfecting tasks, frequencies, and documentation practices.

2.0 SCOPE

This SOP applies to:

  1. General store areas (doors, floors, high-traffic surfaces).
  2. Specialized areas (paint desk, glass-cutting station, fasteners section).
  3. Shared equipment and workstations (terminals, printers, breakroom appliances).
  4. The documentation and record-keeping of all cleaning activities in the Whitten-Hardware Cleaning & Disinfecting Log.
